Help before the build starts
Many homeowners know they want more space or a better layout long before they know whether they need drawings, a planning application or structural calculations. Napwood Construction, based in Wigmore, helps you sort that out in a practical order.
We coordinate suitably qualified specialists for architectural design, planning advice and applications, Building Regulations drawings, and structural engineering. Those professionals are appointed for their competence. They are not presented as Napwood employees.
When the scheme is ready, we can continue into the construction work itself — extensions, kitchens, lofts and refurbishments — under our usual build service. Approvals are always decided by the planning authority or building control, not by Napwood.

Napwood can arrange planning advice and application support through a suitable specialist. We explain the broad process in plain language and help you prepare a realistic scheme. We do not promise that planning permission will be granted — that decision rests with the council.
Building Regulations drawings
Planning permission and Building Regulations are different. Even when planning is not required, technical drawings and compliance for structure, insulation, fire, ventilation and drainage usually are.
We can arrange Building Regulations drawings through a suitably competent professional so the detail is buildable and ready for building control. That work sits alongside, not instead of, any planning route.
Structural engineering and calculations
Openings in walls, steels, foundations and unusual loadings need proper structural input. Guesswork is not a shortcut.
Napwood arranges structural engineering and calculations with suitably competent professionals. We do not claim Napwood itself holds structural engineering qualifications. Calculations and design responsibility stay with the appointed professional; we coordinate the programme and the build that follows.
