Brick, bifolds and a roof that brings the sky in
A red-brick rear extension with pitched roof and skylights, creating a kitchen-diner that feels generous, warm and permanently connected to the garden deck.
The clients wanted more dining space and daylight without losing the traditional character of their brick home.
Matching brickwork, a well-proportioned pitch and carefully placed skylights gave volume without awkward bulk. Black bifolds provide the contemporary contrast.
Meals, homework and weekend gatherings now happen in one inviting room with garden views and a finished outdoor deck beyond.
Brick bonding, lintel alignment and roof weathering were executed carefully so the extension looks original to the house — only better.
